Controverscial.Com
Welcome to my website. For ease of navigation, I have included the full "Site Contents" with links to all pages at the bottom of each page. If you haven't been here before or are looking for something in particular, this would be a good place for you to start. I hope you enjoy this site but if you have any questions or quires, please contact me at the address below. By the way, I have a quirky sense of humour regarding music. I know some people do not like to listen to music while reading and may find it intrusive to their concentration, so I have recently installed the Windows Media Player on most pages (scroll down the page to find it below), so you can now turn it off if you so choose. Most of the music played here is in midi format, which I have gathered from surfing free Midi sites on the internet, so I do not claim any legal rights to use them. If you know of any copyright issues regarding them, please let me know so I can secure permission to use them or remove them if required. This is a work in progress and some pages still have back ground sound. In the meantime here's just some of the things you will find here: PersonalThese pages contain all my personal details and include: A brief biography with "Ben" my dog, my past friend and companion. Also my personal Photo Gallery (but this may take a little time to load, so enjoy the music).
Wicca/Witchcraft/PaganismThese pages contain information about
"Wicca", "Witchcraft" and Paganism. Religion down through the
ages has always caused controversy, no less so in this day and age. It was
my intention on these pages to write an exposé on the evils associated with
Wicca/Witchcraft, Paganism, Satanism and the Black Arts, but like many misinformed
people, I had a preconceived view of the subject. I had expected to be
writing about Ritual Sacrifices, Sexual Orgies and Evil Spells etc. How
wrong I was. I am now taking an active interest in "Wicca", "Witchcraft" and "Paganism", and while I don't necessarily consider myself a "Witch", I do practice some elements of the craft that I feel benefits my beliefs and personal circumstances. Take a look and experience some true facts about witchcraft as I strive learn about it myself. This was how I started some years ago and then after starting this website, due to the amount off comments being made in my Guest Book, I decided to set up a place were people could go to discuss, ask questions, share opinions, seek further information and share their own experiences with other like minded people. Indeed it is also be a place were people can submit their own articles for inclusion in this website, and by doing so help to make this website a truly interactive one by expanding its knowledge base to include all aspects of Wicca/Witchcraft/Paganism and Magick.
Email Witcheshttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/Email_Witches Formed in July 2001, Email Witches is a pagan friendly email group attracting people from all walks of life, from all spectrums of society and from all around the world. Most are individuals seeking a personal practical religion that can be adapted to their own needs and criteria. Wicca is a wonderfully diverse religion that meets most of these needs. Email Witches is set up as a place were those of same interest can meet, discuss, share and gain more information about their chosen paths. All visitors to this website are welcome, so why not join us today and make new friends? The members and moderators of Email Witches are proud to present their public digital Newsletter. The Controversial CauldronImbolc - Candlemas 2010Sadly due to time restrains and other work pressures this newsletter is now suspended. Updates & AdditionsGreetings one and all, time for an up-date. 27th January 2012Here's a bio update on the
Wiccan author Philip Heselton who has just
released a new two volume book, a full-scale biography of Gerald Brosseau Gardner called: Witchfather:
A Life of Gerald Gardner.
Volume 1 - Into
the Witch Cult,
chronicles his life up to 1939, when
he was initiated into the ‘Witch Cult’ by people who called themselves
‘the Wica’. Volume 2 - From
Witch Cult to Wicca, chronicles
the last quarter of his life and his efforts to ensure that not only did the
‘Witch Cult’ survive, but that it would become a significant player on the
world’s religious stage. The book
is currently available as an e-book
from Thoth Publications,
and hard copy books are expected to be available by the end of January 2012. Also we are just about to celebrate
Imbolc,
which is one of the four Greater Sabbats of the Witch’s calendar.
A cross-quarter fire festival, Imbolc falls between “Yule” - the
Winter Solstice, and “Ostara” - the Spring Equinox.
Celebrated in the Northern Hemisphere on the 2nd February, in
the Southern Hemisphere the equivalent Sabbat is Lammas.
The main purpose of Imbolc is a celebration of the returning Sun, which
daily grows stronger lengthening the days and reducing the night.
As such, the main feature of this festival is the lighting of fires and
candles in sympathetic imitation of the Sun’s growing light. 18th January 2012A belated Happy New Year to all visitors. I have many new articles and biographies resting on my back board, which as time allows me to write and complete, I shall be adding to the site as the year progresses. Feedback is an important part of my developing this website, so if there is anything inparticular you wish to know about, please let me know, my email address is below. In the meantime I have been filling in some corrections and up-dates, too many to mention here. I have also started to add the Windows Media Player to all those pages running background sound (including this one), so now you will have the option to turn it off the music as you so wish. This however is a work in progress, and may take some time to complete :-)
And FinallyMany thanks for stopping by. If you have enjoyed All for now have a nice day.
Best WishesGeorge Knowles (Man in Black)
